Thurgau, present day: For the anniversary of the Catholic convent of Tobel, the local TV station follows a community on the brink. Only two elderly nuns remain behind its walls, while overwhelmed civil servant Toni keeps things running. Secretly he hides Lee , a wanted hacktivist – rude, nerdy, and queer as fuck – beneath the convent walls.
