Leo, an Ecuadorian immigrant, spends a tense weekend with his wealthy soon-to-be American stepbrother Shane and Shane’s girlfriend Emma at their cliffside home in Northern California. Between microaggressions, growing distrust, and clumsy attempts at bonding, Leo feels increasingly out of place. When the couple’s dog goes missing, tensions boil over, driving him toward an irreversible act that shatters his place in the family.
