High school student Emil is in his senior year and is planning his gap year with his girlfriend Anne. To earn money for the trip, he is offered a student job as a writer for a dating site. But instead of writing articles, he has to write directly to users and pretend to be interested in them. It goes well at first, but over time Emil discovers the consequences of his deception for other people.
